The Patriarchy Project

A project to produce signs, symbols, and slogans to promote the patriarchy through propaganda. The goal is twofold. Make the creation of propaganda and other images and edits easier, and come up with fairly unobtrusive ways to signal your support for patriarchy and misogyny through clothing, accessories, and even tattoos. All are welcome, whether you consider this fantasy or reality. Content is 18+ and I do not promote illegal activity. I will likely not be reblogging a lot of content from other blogs, but I will tag for reblogs versus original content and contributions. Original posts will feature my own handiwork or work I believe to be in the public domain unless otherwise stated. If something I've posted uses assets which aren't in the public domain, let me know so I can remove the relevant post and edit the work to remove and/or replace the assets in question.

Since I can tell right now that it will probably be a few days before I have more actual content to post on this blog I want to list some things I am and have been trying to work out that will go up once I do have time and I'm satisfied enough with the designs to post them.

  • Potential ex-feminist or former feminist symbols other than the generic "no feminism" that's a feminist fist symbol with the "no" 🚫 around it.
  • More simplified version of the gender traitor symbol (shouldn't be hard, I mostly just need to undo a few things in the same project files.)
  • Gender traitor symbol(s) using symbolism without text.
  • Traditional/Stepford housewife symbol(s).
  • Trophy wife symbol(s).
  • Living sex toy symbol(s).
  • Free use symbol(s).
  • Rape toy/rapebait symbol(s).
  • Disposable symbol(s)

I have a few other ideas, for example I'm toying with ideas for anal only and orgasm denial that I'm not sure will pan out, but these are the ones I feel like I have a solid enough grip on to start working.

However, I will say that I'm still relying on the mars/venus symbols more than I'd prefer. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to incorporate them in most designs in some capacity if I want to get the target right, but I'm taking ideas for ways to potentially replace those that would still be obvious to people without relying on genitalia.

I'm not completely against using genitalia either, but for one, my ideal is to create things that are clean enough to be displayed in public while still being easy to parse without obscure knowledge, and for two since I support trans folks looking to support the patriarchy I don't want to start massively centering genitalia now and have that be the majority of what I produce.
